Skipper Skills Training weekends are perfect for anyone wishng to brush up skills, blow away the cobwebs before the sailing season starts again or just practise some skills with the comfort of an instructor on board.
Newly qualified and existing skippers often tell us that there are things they never get to practice when they go out sailing with friends. These specially designed weekends will help you by offering a brush up and improve weekend.
Areas we could include are listed below:
Close Quarters Boat Handling under Sail and power
Blind (Fog) Navigation
Advanced sail handling
Secondary port calculations
Intricate pilotage
Sailing onto moorings and pontoons
Man Overboard recovery
Tidal update / refresher

Each weekend will be different as the course will be designed around the individual needs of those onboard.
All of our courses have a maximum number of three candidates on board so to ensure you receive a high level of support and tuition. Our courses also include moorings, fuel, catering including the first evening plus loan of wet weather clothing.
