As a sailing school with ladies as both our Principal & Chief Instructor we provide Royal Yachting Association (RYA) sailing courses for women in the UK. Whether you’re joining as an absolute beginner to sailing or yacht racing – or hoping to develop your skills and experience further…we have courses and events for all abilities.

We also offer fantastic sailing weeks, racing in world-class regattas, trans-Atlantic passages, focused skill-building weekends and fun day sailing.  You can join us at some truly amazing events like Antigua Race Week, Round the Island Race and many more!

Sailing is a sport that can be enjoyed regardless of age – we have ladies from 16 to 70-something regularly joining our courses and events – and it’s definitely NEVER too late to start. So why not have a look at our calendar of events and courses to check availability and to book your place!

Why choose us for your Ladies only course?

• We employ only the best skippers in the industry

• We have three rules: we operate calm boats with no shouting allowed; we encourage you to ask lots of questions -there really is no such thing as a silly question; and we always operate as a team, making sure we take care of each other and maintain a safe environment.

• We think sailing should always be great fun!

• All of our courses have a maximum of 4 students on board to ensure you receive a high level of support and tuition. Our courses also include moorings, fuel, catering including the first evening plus loan of wet weather clothing.

The competent crew is a course for beginners and those who would like to become active crew members rather than just passengers. You are the crew – without you, the sails won’t go up and the boat won’t be steered.

By the end of the course, you should be a useful crew member, able to steer, handle sails, keep a lookout, row a dinghy, and assist in all the day-to-day duties on board.

All of our our courses allow for up to four students to be on board to ensure you receive a high level of support and tuition. Our courses also include moorings, fuel, catering, the first evening plus a loan of wet weather clothing. For the duration of this course, your accommodation overnight will be onboard the yacht including the Skipper.
